Familiar worlds are expanding
The lineup includes Witch Hat Atelier: Special Stories and Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun: Devilish Tales—Kalego’s Story. Both extend established worlds rather than asking readers to invest in entirely unfamiliar properties. This is a common publishing strategy: existing audiences lower discovery risk, while side stories can explore characters or settings that the main series cannot prioritize.
Prestige and preservation
An Osamu Tezuka’s Phoenix Deluxe Edition was also announced. Deluxe editions can introduce historically significant work to new readers while giving existing fans a more durable or collectible format. The real value will depend on translation, production quality, page size, extras, and pricing, which should be assessed when final product details are available.

The Chronicles of Leënde represents the kind of broad fantasy acquisition that can reach readers beyond a single established manga fandom. Its success will depend on positioning: cover design, format, marketing, and whether the opening volume communicates the scope of the story without overwhelming newcomers.
